Real time in Japan in 2006

In 2006 I spent 7 weeks in Tokyo working for Kyocera, getting RSS on their mobile products using Opera:

At this time real time information was not a hot topic in Japan, du to the frequency of the service:

At the Narita airport they had an interesting sign showing the status of the highway system:

Color codes gave information about traffic jams via color code:

The picture is taken at a day with only some small traffic problems in the left side of the screen.
